'Veronica's Veil' is a work about martyrdom seen from a feminist perspective. All the women depicted on the veils are women who lived and died in extraordinary ways and as a consequence have become icons of feminism. The lives of these seven women were filled with pain and suffering, but also with passion and conviction It seemed apt that I use these particular images for 'Veronica's Veil'.
