seek to interpret my reactions to the world around me through a range of figurative
and abstract work. My figurative work derives from my sense of the fragility
of the human form and spirit within the demanding and often cruel constraints
of any society .My abstract work derives from my love of the local rocky landscape
and my interest in the mysterious pre- historic stone markings found there and
all over the world. 'Trinity', through the use of the cup and ring markings,
reflects my desire to unite my abstract work with my spiritual interests in
nature and Christianity .
