I approached the opportunity of having work on display in York Minster with a good deal of elation, reverence, and overriding respect for such an iconic building. However, and given the humility one should feel before such a masterpiece, at the end of the day one has to sublimate and integrate these rightful responses into allowing a work/works to evolve and develop, which resonate with the context, but most importantly express one's personal journey and identification with the profound spiritual questioning which York Minster is emblematic of, and was brought into being to address.
