'Heaven or Hell Appeal' is based on those thermometer shaped boards seen outside churches showing the amount of money that has been raised so far in a save-the-church-roof appeal. In this sculpture a line connects heaven and hell and is divided into intervals by holes drilled into the wood. Aspirants or sinners are invited to select a position along the line by placing a peg in one of the holes -this will determine how close personally they feel to heaven or hell at that particular moment. This can be moved up or down on a second visit and will be an individual's response to whether they feel they have moved closer to heaven or hell during the two weeks of the exhibition. This is a very loose interpretation of the 'Natural Selection' theme -a kind of winners and losers arrangement -where the viewers are invited to 'select' their future.

'The Snowball Circus presents Evolution' is a precarious tower of snowball acrobats in a tableau that demonstrates a possible evolutionary tree.
