Originally from Holland I have lived in Yorkshire for over 18 years. I have been carving in stone for the last 10 years. Stemming from my initial interest in Medieval Art and Architecture I have explored and developed the craft based skills of stone carving. This has led to my own interpretation of the carved church images, for instance the Green Man and Gargoyles. Although my primary influence has been gothic church art I do enjoy making low relief and abstract sculpture.
