Len Dewey

4. Len Dewey began to sculpt, following retirement from industry, in 1982, under the guidance of Peter Hibbard at the Old School Arts Workshop in Middleham, North Yorkshire. He joined the Yorkshire Sculptors Group soon after its inception, and has shown his work regularly at the Group's exhibitions in the North of England over some seventeen years. Initially a carver of wood and stone, he later turned to clay and plaster- modelling, leading to limited editions cast in glass-fibre reinforced resin. Examples of his work are held in private collections in the UK and France.
