3. HILARY ROSE BURT (B.A. Hons Leeds) Hilary has exhibited widely in Yorkshire and has work in private collections in England, Ireland and on the Continent. She has also carried out several commissions for English Heritage. Statement about the work: I have always been interested in the history of the early Christian Church, particularly in the North, and in its various characters, monastic and otherwise. Living near Ripon St. Wilfrid has been for some time in my consciousness and the opportunity to show a piece of work in the Cathedral depicting this controversial figure Is opportune. I will work in wire and stained glass to achieve the fragmented effect I want.
