1. Jennifer is a self taught sculptor, working in stone. Her pieces are carved from a fine-grained Yorkstone, sourced from a local quarry, and favoured for its warm colouring, durability, and beautiful weathering qualities. She also works in soapstone. She established her current workshop on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors in 1999, to facilitate a move to sculpting on a full-time basis. Jennifer's tactile sculpture takes the form of animals, birds, and creatures of her own device, and she is much inspired by the human figure, creating soft, curvaceous and emotional beings. Her work is exhibited throughout the country in galleries, held in private collections and she has successfully completed both public and private commissions.
