Many of the 3D pieces in the Bowes Museum Collection were produced using moulds and some exhibits are moulds used in the kitchens. This work links my work with the collection through the process of using moulds and casting.

Materials: Plaster, Wax

An installation produced using the process of casting from a mould made from an original model. This process was employed in many of the exhibits in the Bowes Museum collection including plasters and ceramics. Moulds can be found in the kitchen equipment too - used for jelly and cakes.

The sculpture is composed of 4 wall mounted and 4 floor mounted casts, covering approximately 5'x 5' wall space and 5' x 5' floor space.

Formulation is an expression of my interest in the relationship of man and the beginnings of life.
