The work produced for the exhibition has been influenced by the toy collection and my own interests in collecting ephemera.

SHERIFF: By recreating the physical dimensions of the Dalek and the Saguaro cactus, my intention is to construct a harmony between the real and unreal in an atmosphere that is both playful and intimidating. Sheriff epitomizes my interest in collectables. cult objects. humour, sci -fiction and Wild west films.

L.V.1 What mysterious cargo do the anonymous long vehicles carry? Could such vehicles exist on the road transport system of the future? If so what would the consequences be?

H.G.V. Heavy goods with volume. Vehicle; a structure with wheels in or on which people or things are transported by land. Volume: a great quantity, loudness. Kings of the road: loud structures with wheels in great quantities.

HEAVY GOODS. A frozen moment during the lives of two characters in a tale of toil and grind, about to pass momentarily as they fetch and carry between A and B.

DUAL DUEL Inspired by the Bowes Museum Swan, automata and Thunderbirds, the tiny silver cars perceive that they are being pursued by the HGV's and speed ahead in fear for their lives. Duel and duality could be a roads today comment on the roads today queues, jams. ego's, road rage, speed cameras and ill-conceived road building schemes.
