Most
sculpture is in stone, which I choose to work for it's durability and honesty.
I am intrigued and excited by the challenge of persuading it to shape, and of
balancing it's inherent qualities with the exuberance of ideas and emotions
which abound in the process of creating a piece of work. My simple desire is
to carve from stone images which convey how I see, and more particularly how
I feel, the world around me.
